Valley Roses were looking forward to the away fixture at Pulborough and hoping the rain would stay away, which it did!
The game began with Pulborough using their forwards to carry the ball and forcing many tackles from the Roses. Roses continued to pressure the opposition in possession forcing handling errors which resulted in Andy Russell capitalising with the first try of the game.
Roses continued to play at an impressive tempo creating opportunities for both the forwards and the back line to add to the scoreboard. This was reflected in the half time score 5-40 in the roses favour.
Roses continued to dominate the game in the second half, scoring 42 points. A special mention to Clarissa Evans and Chriss Bright who carried the ball well in their first ever game of rugby.
A big shout out goes to Lauren Hunt for converting 11 out of 12 tries, Zoe Harley for carrying hard and getting voted forward of the match and Caitlyn Gold for her decision making in and out of possession to be awarded back of the match.
Final score -
Pulborough 5 Roses 82
