Dartford Valley travelled to Tonbridge to play a wet and muddy game against TJ Ladies.
Despite conditions, DV started strong with great defensive pressure from Sophie Merryweather forcing a scrum just outside the oppositions 22. The pressure on the Tonbridge Judds line took its toll allowing Caitlyn Gold to cross the line for her first try of the day.
The ladies continued to play their impressive style of rugby with Katie Dootson intercepting the ball and running almost half the pitch.
TJ’s fought back through the hard work and great carries by their 13 and 7 who worked hard for their team to gain momentum.
Dartford Valley remained threatening in possession where their clinical handling gave them the away win of 22-50.
Back of the match went to Caitlyn Gold for her speed in attack and her courageous defence. Forward of the match went to Chloe Smith for her hard carries and leadership in defence.
Try scorers - Caitlyn Gold, Katie Dootson, Kaylee Jade and Andy Russell
The ladies look forward to return to the lodge to play Heathfield on 10th November.
